C-Note $1,000 GRAND PRIZE Winner!

A Walk in the Park -- And the Rain!

This is a photo of me (left) and my oldest sister in Boston Park. Having grown up in Los Angeles, we loved the tree-filled park located in the heart of busy Boston, Mass. We even walked in the pouring rain! Best of all, the public park is free!--Rebecca

Rebecca, age 16 at the time of entry in the photo contest, is the winner of the first $1,000 grand prize in the C-Note photo contest.

Rebecca is a member of Kinecta Credit Union in Manhattan Beach, CA. She says, "I'll definitely be saving the money in my Kinecta Youth Account to put toward college!"

One of eight $100 winners in photo contests held over the the past year in C-Note, online readers voted her Best of the Best in the first-ever Grand Prize contest.

The timeless theme of the original $100 contest that Rebecca won was Things I Like to Do for Free.

My Hopes for 2009 Deadline Extended

ATTENTION: The photo upload was not working correctly for a few random days during the last two months (we didn't know it), so only one photo entry in the current theme, My Hopes for 2009, has made it through.

We've extended the deadline for entries in My Hopes for 2009 to January 31, 2009. Let your young members with cameras know to try again, by re-submitting their photos. They have a good chance of winning $100 (or even $1,000)! We apologize for the technical glitch.

How to Enter Photos and Vote in Photo Contests

You can view and share the contest by providing a link to C-Note on your credit union web site, or tell your teenage members how to go to C-Note on your web site:

  1. Register (it's free and easy) and log in;
  2. Click the Photo Contest Winner link on C-Note's front page;
  3. Click Enter Contest;
  4. Follow the instructions.

The C-Note photo contests are open to your young members, as well as credit union employees and their family members between the ages of 13 and 19.

Readers pick a winner from among the finalists for each contest theme, and that photographer wins $100. All the $100 winners of themed contests during the year compete for a $1,000 grand prize.
