I’ve Been Baking a Long Time

Even when I was only a few years old, my mom let me help her. She let me help decorate cookies, cupcakes, brownies, and sometimes even cakes.

Now that I am a little bit older, I have started to do a lot more things when I bake.

Have you ever tried baking? Something inspired me to bake, and that was my mom.

When I was little, I watched her and baking looked like a lot of fun.

I love to bake with my mom. We have a lot of fun baking together. We have a lot of great ideas for each holiday.

Fun on the holidays

For Halloween, we make Frankenstein brownies. To make these, you start by baking a pan of brownies.

Once they cool, you cut the brownies into a rectangle shape. Frost them with green icing, and decorate to look like a Frankenstein.

We make Rice Krispies Treats® turkeys for Thanksgiving. To make these, you start by making the original Rice Krispies Treats recipe. 

It's fun to decorate with sprinkles.

Once the marshmallows and butter have melted, you add in the Rice Krispies cereal. Make ball shapes out of the mixture and let those cool. Use Oreos and candy corn to make the ball turn into a turkey!

For Christmas, we make all types of cookies and candies. That is my favorite time of year.

Our favorite Christmas cookies to make are sugar cookies in different shapes like trees, elves, stars, and stockings.

They are a lot of fun to decorate with sprinkles and different colored icing.
