Peggy on a Bounce or a Fly

Peggy is a softball game played by two or more players. One person bats, either throwing the ball up and hitting it, or hitting it off a tee.

The fielder must accumulate 300 points to earn the right to bat. Here's how you score:

100 points for a caught fly ball
75 points for a ball caught on one bounce
50 points for a ball caught after two bounces
25 points for a ball caught after three or more bounces

Workup

Workup is a softball game for five or more players. The positions are:

If you have more than five players, first add a batter, and then spread them out on defense.

Each batter chooses either the left or the right side of second base as the field he will hit to. If the batter hits to the other side of the field, it's a foul ball.

If the batter hits a ground ball and the pitcher catches it before the batter reaches first base, the batter's out.

If the batter hits a fly ball, and it's caught— whether it's fair or foul—it's an out.

When a batter makes an out, he or she rotates to the outfield position. The outfielder moves to the infield. The infielder moves to pitcher, and pitcher moves up as second batter. (Insert additional positions into the rotation.)

Every player who successfully rounds the bases scores a run. If both hitters are on base, the lead runner moves up to bat and automatically scores a run on a safe hit.

At the end of play, the person with the most runs wins the game.
