Why do teenagers get jobs?
Experience? Social interaction? A burning desire to wear a paper hat?
Not really -- Most teenagers find work because they could use the money.
. . . But what if there was another option?
You might earn $50 after a full day's work. Would you kiss a frog for the same $50?
Bernice Kanner asked this and many other questions in her book Are You Normal About Money? After 12 months of Internet polling Bernice discovered thousands of interesting statistics about human behavior, including the likelihood of people doing odd things for money.
Ten tasks appear below. For each, guess how many of those polled said they'd do it for money. We'll give you five chances for each question, telling you whether your most recent guess is higher or lower than Ms. Kanner's result.
ENTER A NUMBER (between 1 and 100) of the percentage of people that WOULD do the following. We'll tell you whether the correct answer is higher or lower than your guess. After five guesses, we'll reveal the correct answer.
