Talia

What real life person do you consider a superhero? Why?

My cousin Taylor. She is amazing! She is always there when I need her and is willing to listen to me. She is hilarious and can lighten my mood in seconds. She never will judge me and always protects me when she can. To me she is the most beautiful, thoughtful, kind, and loving person that I know.

When you're not going to school or saving the world, what do you like to do?

Read, write, play outside, ride horses, and listen to music. I also do a variety of activities, including finding ways to make money―like creating cork creatures. I like to work in my flower garden at home and I also like to go to my friends' houses and mess around with them.

If you received $100, how would you spend it? Why?

Extra horse-riding lessons. I love riding horses and the lady that gives me the lessons could always use a little extra money to help care for her horses and property.

What money superpowers would you like to have? Why?

Double the amount of money I have each day. I would never have to worry about running out. I could give the money away to friends, family, and to a wide variety of charities, such as the American Association for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

If you could visit any place, where would you go and why?

India. I love warm weather and the scenery is beautiful. I would love to travel through the different regions and see the differences in culture, scenery and, most of all, the different kinds of wildlife―including tigers!

If you could visit any time, when would it be?

The Renaissance. It sounds like so much fun! It was right after the Dark Ages and people were starting to focus more on life and not death. The world began to become more colorful, hopeful, and happy again. Quite literally it was a rebirth of everything, from personal happiness to culture and learning, including science.

Whose face would you put on a $75 bill? Why?

Sherlock Holmes. Even though Holmes is not a real person (he was made up by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle), he inspired many authors' writing and opened the doors to different creative ideas, invigorating peoples' thoughts and insight to details in everyday life.

What is one thing you look forward to in high school?

More advanced courses and more freedom in choosing the courses I take. This will allow me to pick courses that I will be interested in and will motivate me more to study for the classes I like. I think I will be more interested in school and future options.
