- Only cross off letters if they are the first in a word. (Abbreviations—like 'Xing'—count!)
- Allow bumper stickers.
- Signs only—license plates don't count!
- License plates only—signs don't count!
- Check off letters as you see them—don't go in scorecard order!
- How many letters can you find in five miles? 10 miles?
